Mission Statement

During spring quarter, Clackamas Community College will explore a range of perspectives on local and global sustainability, with a strong emphasis on actionable items. CCC instructors from Horticulture, Social Sciences, the Environmental Learning Center, English, Art, Science, the library, Environmental Health and Safety, and the Wildland Fire Program, among others, are teaming up to address our questions, to bring in experts and offer workshops, to ask what current conditions are and what we as a society can do, and to leave few stones unturned.

Topics may include:

Building/construction
The Arts
Food and agriculture
Consumables and consumer culture
Energy resources
Transportation
Industry and trade
Local cultural history
Quality of life
Economics
Environmental stewardship
Biodiversity
Global ethics and values

All events will be free and open to the public.
